Orange Thrush

Zoothera gurneyii
Medium, above dark brown, underparts orange, undertail white. Two bold white wing bars which are diagnostic. Bill black. Attractive melodious songs and whistles, quite ventriloquial. Has regular song posts, often calling from the base of a tree trunk so the sound travels up to the branches. Not as common as Olive Thrush. Shy, foraging in gloom of forest floor.
